if you have read "Hush"(ifyouhave not shame on you)then will know about Jason todd .if you do not know about Jason i suggest in the strongest terms you read Death in the Family.
i have many rumours about the return of Jason and the fact he should be a villain one person went as far as stating that the killer in identy crisis was in fact Jason why are they so egear for Jason to be the bad guy if any thing he should if he does come back as the new Spector  [color=red:d1759518fe][/color:d1759518fe]

Out of the many versions of the Robin's, Jason Todd was my all time favorite, and I am talking about the after Crisis Jason Todd, not pre crisis where they just made him a carbon copy of Dick Grayson with the same circus storyline, blah, blah, blah. I am a fan of the street punk version that had him ripping off the tires of the batmobile, that was the best, and his background made for many interesting story lines in the Batman comics and there were probably many more great ones ahead, but NO, they had to kill him off, which p*ssed me off big time, but what can you do right, now I hope he is back as either Hush or the New Red Hood

Let's hope so!

There was no body in the Hush storyline, that was Clay-face. Batman even reasons later that it couldn't have been Jason. Read it again.

Haven't read any of the new stuff out right now, but I'm with Techno Bat on this one, I think Jason Todd would be excellent as the new Red Hood. The guy was trained buy Batman, knows his secrets, his mentality. That has the makings of a great adversary, more lethal than Bane and more dangerous to Batman and his allies than the Joker.

Plus if Jason turn out to be Red Hood he would also know about Nightwing, and that could throw a monkey wrench into the whole fold, and I didn't read much when Jason was with The Teen Titans but he might now alot of there identies as well. Real interesting stuff....

I don't understand this urge to bring Jason Todd back from the dead. Didn't Denny once say it would be a really sleazy stunt to bring him back ?

Yes he did say it would be real sleazy. But was he talking about Jason Todd or Robin? It would be really cool to see Jason Todd come back, he was great, my favorite of all the Robin's!

AJbat 01-26-2005 12:30 AM

I'm assuming he meant Jason since they could just create another person (which they did with Tim) to be Robin

Still I think they should keep Jason dead. It would cheapen the effects of his death on Batman.

I think when they killed Jason off they knew that Robin would be back eventually. I think that they should have either let Jason live (and not have done that phone stunt) or just killed Robin off altogether. I think it was silly how they brought Tim Drake into the fold anyway. He was some kid that figured out who Batman and Nightwing were. Pretty lame, it ranks right up there when the pre-crisis Jason Todd came along and he was a carbon copy rip off of Dick Grayson with the same circus story origin, and clean cut kid act. I am glad they changed Jason's origin after Crisis, and was the best of all the Robin's and had great potential for growth and stories.

Oh well what could have been. And as much as I want to see Jason back I have a feeling that Red Hood is going to be Ted Kord

Well, they brought back Kara and wasn't Hush just a series of well, basically that? I had Bruce's friend pegged as the villain from the start just because of the way they emphasized his character. I also had a hunch about Riddler, just because this seemed more like an Agatha Christie type story than a story with any actual developement.. which meant of course that the one guest villain who had no connection to what was going on would be the major villain. WHat was even more disappointing is that Batman used the same logic to figure it out

Death is nothing in comics these days. Killing a character off is equivalent to being on the injured reserve. After all DC couldn't keep Oliver Queen dead forever could they?

Anyone read Gotham Knights?

The last few issues of GKs have rekindled the Hush mystery, so I still don't think everything's resolved there. The recent Batman stuff has been throwing making Jason the obvious choice for Red Hood though. But like someone else said, it's almost too obvious...:batman:
