When the time's right, Doomsday (manipped, from the Superman Lives design):
Brainiac:
Oh, and I suppose if they had to get rid of the kid, there's a ready-made answer to that, too: chuck him into a time-warp to the 31st century, so that when Daddy has to fly in to rescue him, Clark overshoots by 30 years and THIS is what Jason has become, attitude and all:

^^ Heh.
I'm not sure if his brain could handle it, what with all the work he's already put toward Batman!

Well, at least he'd make Lex a schizo that you actually don't wanna mess with

That's rather what I was hoping for, with Spacey. He's got the potential.

Exactly. As soon as I heard Spacey was in, I knew they'd 'Hackman' him up rather than Soze his ass, like they should have...

I actually thought Bridges' character in Iron Man would've made an excellent Luthor. Definitely seemed more sinister and conniving.

As terrible as I thought Iron Man was, I have to agree. For the life of me, I don't see why Singer just cloned Hackman.
I mean, I KNOW he know's what Lex is like in the comics, particularly the new ones. He produced a damn documentary about the history of Superman for Zod's sake and knows what Rosenbaum is doing with his Lex, so why not put good use to that research??

Well, it had to be in keeping with Hackman's Lex, if he's basically doing his pseudo-sequel, I guess.
I much prefer the scientist-and-businessman approach. The guy's a genius, it's only natural that he'd have his corporation there to fund his true interests. Basically an evil Bruce Wayne, sort of.
As for Iron Man, I liked it. It wasn't utterly wonderful, but I thought it was fun.
