Seems to be a pervasive motif in the Superman mythos. Remember the death of Superman (who doesn't)? There were numerous images of Lois cradling Supes body. They've done it on Smallville too, with Martha Kent over Clark.
Anyone got anymore?

Well, one of them is just 10 inches shy of three feet tall at 26". As far as $345 retail goes, that's just retail. You can be assured that any good statue dealer will have these for preorder for at least 20% off. I would bet you'll start seeing these for about $275-$300 befor release.

Well spotted sir. Interesting that Martha and Lois are both represented in these configurations.

Absolutely. Carl Jung, James Frazer and Joseph Campbell would have something to say about it too...

I am confused a bit what you are trying to say there..
If i remember right the first image with lois holding superman came first in the comic, then the next page was him lying in the image I found. Soo bloodwynd wouldnt just turn into batman would he? Jimmy could move, lois could, but I don't see Bloodwynd turning into Batman
Like I said, it was just odd, I don't recall Batman being in the Death of Superman story at all. I think someone just decided they wanted to place Batman in there.

Damn! They should have come out with like a series 1, 2, and 3. None of them are exactly what I wanted, aren't I picky. Although if I had the money I'd snatch everyone up in a heartbeat. Unfortunately I probably won't get any of them. My only other choice is either the inflight statue or the maquette which retail for $195 each. Maybe something else will come out that'll grab me even more?
So far I'm only getting 4 of the books and the soundtrack and of course the movie DVD when it comes out.
